I have been having BSoD's for a few days. 1 day ago was the worst. let me start over. a week ago i chucked in a new gpu and a sound card. at that time i had the drivers intalled and all worked fine. about a week later bluescreens started joining the club. i had memory managment. sadly i dont have the .dmp files. i formatted and started a fresh install of windows 7 x64. now when ever i get a bluescreen i have to go into my bios and adjust the boot order to start from windows cause otherwise it askes me to insert a hdd then after the logo another bluescreen, startup repair, another blue screen, then ok starts up.

My specs:

cpu: intel i5 3570k (not over clocked)
memory: corsair ddr3 xms3 8gb (2x4)
motherboard: asus p8z77-v
gpu: EVGA GTX 660Ti
sound card: creative sound blaster Zx
PSU: 750W antec true power
hdd: seagate baracuda 1Tb

if files attached arent available go to : https://www.box.com/s/fzzvhk2lqne82nioo1dv

Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis: http://windows7forums.com/blue-screen-death-bsod/38837-how-ask-help-bsod-problem.html

For starters:
At work we start all repairs with a set of diagnostics. Often they find problems that weren't even expected. It's a waste of time to try to fix software on a system that has hardware problems.
Please try these free diagnostics for starters: Initial Hardware Diagnostics
Also, please ensure that you have ALL available Windows Updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

I suspect an error with your RAM - so start with the MemTest86+ diagnostic above.

SP1 isn't installed, please do the following:
Installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1
1. Visit the PC manufacturer's website and update ALL drivers. DO NOT use Windows Update or the "Update drivers" function of Device Manager.
2. Check Device Manager for any unknown/disabled devices - if there are unknown/disabled devices, fix them with the latest drivers from the device manufacturer's website (not the PC Manufacturer)
3. Visit Windows Update and get all updates (may take repeated visits)
4. Visit Windows Update and get Service Pack 1 (usually under Important Updates). Read these notes for installing SP1: Steps to follow before you install Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 from the Microsoft Download Center
5. Visit Windows Update and get any other available updates. May take repeated visits, but keep it up until you get several "Windows is updated" results.
If you're having difficulties with installing a Service Pack, please use the SURTool from this link: What is the System Update Readiness Tool?
Also, check out this troubleshooting link from Microsoft: Troubleshoot problems installing Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

I have had limited success in installing updates/Service Packs when using a "clean boot". I suspect that I'm just bypassing the problem - and that it can come back to bite me in the butt later on.

I did try running memtest 86+. first time it gave me 2 errors and then after running it again to make sure there were no problems. i didn't change the configuration or placement of the ram sticks. i also got a few more blue screens but this time it was the PFN blue screen. this is getting really annoying. also memtest 86+ stayed running for 2 hours for both tries.

It is my mistake, but you shouldn't have deleted amdxata.sys. This problem will be resolved if you update to SP1. You will also need to get ALL Windows Updates after SP1 (about 150 in most systems)

I requested this info in my previous post: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

I have requested that you run these hardware diagnostics (to include at least 3 passes of MemTest86+): Initial Hardware Diagnostics It also states that if all diagnostics pass, please run the diagnostics here: Additional Hardware Diagnostics

Please report back the results of each of the diagnostics when completed.

There are enough signs here that that I have to wonder about this installation. Should this be a pirated copy of Windows, please be aware that we may not be able to fix it (as the hacks that were done to activate it will cause the OS to behave differently than we expect it to). If that's the case, our efforts to help may just waste your time. Secondly, the forum rules prohibit assisting with pirated software - so the topic would be closed if that is the case.

sorry for late reply

i have changed hardrives and situation has improved but still get the occasional BSOD. service pack 1 is installed all drivers are up to date and i am uploading the files that you requested with that program. i am getting blue screen when i play ghost recon online. Also my windows is genuine.

Only 107 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 150 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Realtek High Definition Audio is disabled. Is this deliberate? If so, why?
(it looks like you have a Creative Sound Blaster card, so that may be the reason)

Out of 3 memory dumps there were 3 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes may be symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system (I usually like to see 4 or 5 memory dumps before coming to this conclusion). They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers)
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

As such, please start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics
