Windows 7 Problem with temp files

I'm having some kind of problem with temporary files. I'm attempting to install a program I downloaded; when you click "setup", it extracts an .msi file first and then starts the install. However, the install can never complete because it always says the .msi file in Users/me/AppData, etc. can't be found. And the options are "Retry" and "Cancel". What's going on?

I know there's nothing wrong with the program or the installer because it installed fine on my other PC.

Are you running as administrator and are you logged on to windows as "me"?

Like patcooke plus: It can be a typical Windows 7 paranoia. The easiest way to get over it may be to change the installation folder to C:\ instead of the typical Program Folder. Take ownership Add "Take Ownership" to Explorer Right-Click Menu in Win 7 or Vista - How-To Geek solves many problems, too. But I prefer to change the installation folder, it's kind of a cleaner solution.
