I hate the light theme in 10. My apps look anaemic !

In previous versions of Windows various elements of app windows could be changed. e.g change the colour of the active window title bar.

Is there any way to do this in 10 ?

In Windows 10, you can customize the colors to a certain extent, but the level of customization is not as extensive as it was in earlier Windows versions with regard to specific elements like the title bar color. However, you can still personalize your Windows 10 colors to some degree using the built-in settings. Here's how you can change the general color scheme in Windows 10: 1. Changing the Accent Color: - Go to Settings by clicking on the Start menu and then selecting the gear icon. - Choose Personalization and then select Colors. - Scroll down until you see the Choose your accent color section. - Pick a color from the list or select your own custom color. - Check the boxes under "Show accent color on...

Choosing Dark Mode: - If the light theme is too bright, you can switch to a darker color scheme. - In the Colors settings, you can enable Dark Mode to change certain elements into a darker color palette. - This will affect parts of the system UI but might not adjust specific elements like the title bar color in all apps. 3. Third-Party Themes: - Some third-party tools like WindowBlinds allow for deeper customization of Windows appearance, including the ability to change specific elements like window borders and buttons. 4. Registry Edits (Advanced): - There are ways to adjust specific UI elements, like the title bar color, through manual registry edits. However, this method can be complex and risky if not done correctly. It's recommended for advanced users who are comfortable with making registry changes. 5. Windows 10 Themes: - Microsoft also offers various themes in the Microsoft Store that may provide color customization options beyond the default settings. While Windows 10's customization options are more limited compared to earlier versions, you can still tweak the color scheme to some extent using the built-in settings. If none of these methods provide the level of customization you desire, third-party tools like WindowBlinds might offer the customization you're looking for.
