Hope someone can help with this. I've put together a media center using a Gateway DX4720-03 running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, but I am having trouble getting the IR remote control, a RC6 model, to work. The USB IR receiver is recognized by Windows when I plug it in, and the correct driver seems to be found and installed under device manager (eHome Infrared Receiver under USB devices). However, there is no response when I press any of the buttons e.g. the green Media Center button, volume control, etc. The LED on the remote lights up, as does the one on the receiver signifying it is receiving properly, but nothing else happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the device as well as updating Windows. The remote works fine with my Dell Inspiron laptop, which also runs Windows 7 64-bit. Any ideas?
