I have dual boot, win 7 and win Xp. Every time i use Win XP, my restore points on win7 are missing. I changed the drive letter on win 7 partition in win Xp with diskmgmt.msc, but still is the same problem. What to do?

I ran into that dual booting. I think it automatically deletes the restore points on the OS you are not using.

A lot of people have good reason to be grateful for system restore but it has its limitations and, worst of all, it tends to work silently in the background so unless you go out of your way to check you don't know exactly what it has done and when. I believe the value of a backup system is too high to be left in such indeterminate state and I use Acronis True Image to maintain my own backup regime. It's not the only drive imaging facility available and there are also some good free ones but I happen to prefer Acronis.
