Bump!

I tried to install the FREE version of Avast AV, but I got some kind of Incompatibility Error. Go figure!

Suggest you disable Windows Defender in Services before installing Avast.

IMHO anyone who advocates running a PC without an AV/AM app should not be allowed to publish those findings anywhere. Yes, I suppose if an expert PC user / Technician ran without an AV on their personal systems, because of their experience they might not get infected, but that's a big IF!

The problem is that many of the persons reading these articles and Forums are not experts by any means. They believe everything they read in these Forums as advice from experts to everyone. This is one of the reasons why so many viruses and malware are propagated from PC to PC.
