Hey guys, Kinda new to windows 7. I've tried to install a slave sata hard drive in my machine. Im running an Asus G50 laptop. It has a slave drive bay and all and is being found in the bios but not in windows. It's not being found via diskmgmt.msc either. The hard drive is a 160 gig Seagate Momentus 5400.3, My current master drive in this machine is the seagate momentus 7600 so i wouldn't think there would be any compatibility issues. Basically all im trying to do is use the secondary / slave drive as extra storage, Any ideas?

The Machine I'm working with is:

I would think Asus would have instructions on how to do this.

Sometimes those laptops have odd interfaces for additional devices. Have you tried going to device manager and click on the find new hardware icon on top? Empty drives might be hidden in the Computer window, but I believe it should still show up in Disk Management.

Is there anything else in the bios that might need to be turned on, like a controller or port?
