Howdy gang,

I'm trying to transfer files over my LAN between two 2 computers (both connected through Ethernet) but the speed is very slow.

The top speed is : 3MBps

Desktop: Windows 7, wired
Laptop: Windows 7, wired
Modem/Router: Aztech DSL605EW

I've tried a couple of things already:

1. Disable RDC
2. Disable FlowControl
3. Disable autotuninglevel
4. Set Speed and Duplex to Auto Negotiation

Thanks for the time!

Solution
Update the firmware for the router to newest, and do the same for the adapter drivers on the pcs.

Probably Realtek - here is their site:

If you've changed any default settings, place them as they were.
prehaps the anti-virus is scanning as its sending / recieving, which can cripple speeds if set too high a level.
