We recently built my friends computer. We started with Windows 8.1 and that was fine until the keyboard and mouse stopped working. We tried other USB ports, disabling the XHCI in BIOS, and other things but nothing worked. We decided to clean format and switch back to Windows 7.
We're now using Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and it is giving us some problems. We have installed all the necessary drivers that came with the parts and all the Windows updates that we need. We are getting BSOD's and we're not sure why. Could it be a faulty part like the memory or is it a software problem? Here is the file from the last BSOD.

the above is pointing to your graphic driver but other drivers can be the cause too, it's just a case of tracing them.

The Broadcom drivers could do with updating if possible. See if their drivers have updated any:

Thanks so much for the reply.
We had an inkling it was the video card that was giving us trouble because starting a game would cause BSOD and the driver crash thing with notification happened at times. We were using Catalyst 13.12 and it was still crashing so I uninstalled it and my friend said he reseated the video card and memory. After that he installed the drivers on the CD that came with the card. That's what we had done on Windows 8.1 but for some reason we wanted to use the most recent ones from the site when we installed Windows 7 instead.
We're still not sure if it was the reseating that fixed it or using the CD's drivers instead. He just wanted to fix the computer before we left for winter break so he could have closure. Perhaps we'll test using the latest version of Catalyst when we come back for break.
