Solution
As both Neemobeer and I write above some games don't mind being minimised mid game others hate it and can be stubborn.
If at one point you could minimise this game without issue but now can not I suggest either reinstalling the game or checking the games cache.

I don't really think this is something that can be fixed. Direct X is a complex beast and this is basically an interaction between the game(s) and Direct X and it isn't a perfect system. I've seen varying behavior within 1 game and different games when dropping to the desktop from the game. Some games can recover from it and some can't.

it just makes the game run in a window it doesnt allow me to minimize it
