Windows 10 Trouble Minimizing Games in Windows: Taskbar Appears Instead of Game Window

when i minimize a game in windows, the game doesnt minimize but instead, the taskbar appears at the bottom of my screen and the game stays in the background, please help me fix it Link Removed

Hi,
what do you press to minimise the game or get to the desktop?

Usually it's alt+Tab although not every game is happy to play ball.

i press the windows key, but alt tabbing makes the same problem

I don't think there's an actual fix as such. It's just that some games are easier to minimise than others.

You could try the games forum and see if anyone has a tip?

the thing is that it doesnt happen for everyone who plays the same games

I don't really think this is something that can be fixed. Direct X is a complex beast and this is basically an interaction between the game(s) and Direct X and it isn't a perfect system. I've seen varying behavior within 1 game and different games when dropping to the desktop from the game. Some games can recover from it and some can't.

it just makes the game run in a window it doesnt allow me to minimize it

As both Neemobeer and I write above some games don't mind being minimised mid game others hate it and can be stubborn.

If at one point you could minimise this game without issue but now can not I suggest either reinstalling the game or checking the games cache.

tried both... the game has always been like this sadly

If the game has always acted this way then usually that's down to the game itself.

Some games will happily alt+tab to the desktop whilst others will not play ball..
