Windows 7 Troubleshooting Bluetooth Driver Issues on Windows 7 Pro Laptop

Hi
I newly installed a win 7 pro on laptop
Everything seems to be ok
My bluetooth does work but keeps asking me to install a driver
when i tried it said BT device not found
What should i do

What driver did you try to install? You should search for one at your notebook manufacturer's support site.

I hav an Hp dv6735ee
and the bluetooth driver i tried was Bluetooth software from broadcom

If you know your bluetooth device model exactly, you can try a driver straight from the bluetooth manufacturer. However, occasionally it doesn't work well and you need to get one from the notebook support site.

You could try Vista driver, but I don't see it there ...

but if i install the other drivers also for vista compatibility will it work for win 7

A vista driver may or may not work for 7, but it is worth a try. Setup.exe-Properties-Compatibility tab. Or extract this driver to a folder, then device manager-right click the device-update-browse to the folder with the driver.
