Windows 7 turning on aero

Well I can't seem to get aero to work in Windows 7. Really, there is nothing great about Windows 7 without the aero effects.

It says my graphics card isnt up to snuff or something. I know for Vista is works fine. So I dont see how this is possible.

I dont really know what type of graphics card i have. i dont know where to look.

its a ATI Radeon Xpress 1250

It's meant to need less, and use less...

problem solved. I had been looking for the user experience ratings system before i made the thread. found it, and got the computer rated. aero is on.
