I have found that most of the time this error is due to hardware issues. You should double check to make sure you are indeed connected to the internet. The best way to test this is to use an ethernet cable to plug in directly into your wireless router and to make sure you can access the internet that way.

I've had a similar issue, though I'm not sure it's the same problem.

I had, previous to this new router, an older D-Link router that would drop connection every now and again (quite frequently) for its wired connection. But, as stated, it was old. So I switched my wired connection to a newer N router from another company (can pull the name up later if it's needed). The router has functioned better than the other in that it's not dropping connection for me as frequently, but, has another issue. Twice since switching to this router it has suddenly gone from internet access to searching for internet access to "unidentified network. no internet access". Thankfully, in the period of time this has happened, it's still far less than the other router's connection drops, but this sort of issue is something which, hopefully, is a settings one and can be fixed.

It has done this, as mentioned, twice now. Once was sort of random and the other was after my computer mysteriously restarted during the night (I went to bed and woke up and was at the login screen, windows updates are not allowed to restart my computer as per my settings).

Thinking that it might be a negotiation issue, since that was a problem I had almost a year ago, trying to get internet for my computer, I played with the Speed & Duplex settings to no avail. The only thing that has worked so far is manually resetting the router by unplugging it and then plugging it back in. Of course, this is pretty inconvenient, and losing the internet at random is a pretty negative thing for my online activities. I'm unsure, however, of what setting might be causing this.

My computer receives its IP address dynamically, but, that would be an issue with the provider, to my knowledge, and not the router.
