Win7, 64 bit. When I insert a USB into my desktop computer, it doesn't auto open. However, when I insert it in my Win 7 laptop it does auto open. I would like to set my desktop computer so it auto opens a USB.

Solution
Hi,
if you open the control panel, click programs followed by 'change default settings for media and devices' (found under Default programs) you should find the setting on what you want to happen when a usb is plugged in.

I assume you mean the Auto play control panel. There is no setting for USP in this panel.

You may have to actually plug the device in. If you notice near the bottom you'll see the heading 'Device that you connected to your computer will be listed here'.

USP?
