Windows 7 User name and passwords won't save

All of a sudden my user names and passwords don't save or show up when I am online. This is a recent event though. Does anyone have any ideas on this? I use Firefox and I have checked all the settings there but it also doesn't save them on IE either. I will be very grateful if you have any ideas.

When you say you checked the settings... is "Remember passwords for sites" in the Security tab checked?

yes that was checked. in doing some more online checking i ended up having to make a new profile in FireFox and it now seems to remember my info. Thx for replying.

Happy you sorted it out. Just for reference, you can also change things in the advanced, hidden settings or firefox, but be VERY careful and don't change anything if you don't know what you're doing. Just put into the address bar about:config
