Windows Vista vista random lock ups

asus pn5esli
2 gig corsair ddr 800 ram
e6600 duo core
8800 gts 640mb

I am so sick of vista and am about ready to go back to xp I keep getting random lock ups it happens at startup sometimes.It happens when i am gaming its simply driving me nuts. I have updated windows , updated the drivers for my video card and it still does it. I heard of a patch for video cards but have been unable to find it. Can anyone help me fix this. I paid $150 dollars for this junk and dont want to waste my money

you either have the P5N32-E SLI or the P5N32-E SLI Deluxe motherboard not "pn5esli". go to the Asus website and download and install the latest bios and chipset drivers. if you need help with this you should contact Asus and they should walk you thru it.
