I understand the issue you are facing with Windows Explorer not updating the changes you've made to a file. This can be quite frustrating, but there are a few things we can try to resolve this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to address this problem: 1. Refresh Windows Explorer: Sometimes, Windows Explorer may not refresh automatically. You can manually refresh it by pressing F5 or right-clicking and selecting "Refresh." 2. Clear Thumbnail Cache: Thumbnail cache can sometimes cause issues with file updates. You can clear the thumbnail cache by following these steps: - Press Win + R, type cleanmgr, and press Enter. - Select the drive where Windows is installed (usually C:), and click OK. - Check the box next to "Thumbnails" and any other options you prefer, then click OK to clean the cache. 3. Restart Windows Explorer: Sometimes restarting the Windows Explorer process can help. You can do this by: - Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager. - Find "Windows Explorer" in the list, right-click it, and choose "Restart." 4. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your system is up to date by checking for and installing any pending Windows updates. 5. Check Disk for Errors: Use the built-in Windows tool to check your disk for errors. Here's how you can do it: - Open File Explorer. - Right-click the drive you want to check (usually C:), go to Properties -> Tools -> Check. 6. Disable Third-Party Shell Extensions: Some third-party shell extensions can interfere with the functioning of Windows Explorer. You can try disabling them to see if the issue is resolved. 7. Run System File Checker (SFC): Running an SFC scan can help fix corrupted system files that might be causing the issue. Here's how you can do it: - Open Command Prompt as an administrator. - Type sfc /scannow and press Enter. Let the scan complete. Please try these steps and let me know if the issue persists. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
