Hello,
I recently build and installed a new system. The problem I am facing (which I would bet started only after I installed some drivers..) is that after I type my password in the login screen, I have to wait for an unexplicable amount of time (given the specs of the machine and the fact my desktop is almost empty!)
What I tried:
- msconfig : perform minimal start with only needed services
- cleanup some SoundCard app stuff from the startup
- remove the ethernet cable (in case it was a DHCP problem)
- remove the external usb WD My Passport drive
- search through the event viewer. (maybe something to see there)
Some info to help you out.
