Windows XP Win xp trying to connect to wireless router

i have a wpa personal with Shared Secret and i can't get this win xp sp3 to get internet access. just limited connection when i typed in the shared secret. this computer is locked down limited access to system settings. can you help.

Hi.

Make sure that mac address filtering is not on in the router. Or if it is, make sure the adapter's mac address (physical address) is added to it.
