Major New Features
1. Recall Homepage- A new personalized homepage is introduced in Recall, showing your recent activity and top-used apps/websites for quickly resuming tasks.
- You can set filters for which apps/websites are saved in Recall snapshots via Settings.
- New navigation bar in Recall for quicker access to Home, Timeline, Feedback, and Settings.
- You can now move hardware pop-up indicators (brightness, volume, airplane mode, virtual desktops) to top left, top center, or keep at the bottom.
- Go to Settings > System > Notifications > Position of the onscreen pop-up.
- AI actions in File Explorer are rolling out again. This includes context-aware options that had disappeared for some Insiders.
- IT administrators can configure Start menu pins to apply once at first sign-in, then let users personalize afterward.
- The country/region selected during device setup is now carried into Settings > Time & language > Language & region.
Improvements & Fixes
Rollout with Toggle On:- Input issues fixed (Search, pinyin IME, clipboard, emoji panel).
- Fixed repeating explorer.exe crashes for Italian display language users.
- File Explorer: Home now shows all folders, performance improved when syncing many SharePoint sites.
- Settings: Uninstall updates list in Update History now sorts by date.
- Correct boot sounds restored (was playing Windows Vista sound by mistake).
- Fixed “Reset this PC” option not working.
- Fixed some KVM virtual machines failing to boot (UNSUPPORTED_PROCESSOR).
Known Issues
- Build Installation: Some users may get rollback and 0x80070005 error when installing. Microsoft is investigating.
- Version Number: After a PC reset, your build might show as 26100 instead of 26120, but you’ll still get future updates.
- Start Menu Known Issues:
- Touch navigation may not work reliably.
- Limited drag and drop from “All” to “Pinned.”
- Duplicate entries can appear in folders.
- Xbox Controller: Bluetooth connection can cause a bugcheck (crash). Workaround: Uninstall “oemXXX.inf (XboxGameControllerDriver.inf)” in Device Manager.
- Click to Do: On Copilot+ PCs with AMD or Intel, first launch may be slow.
- File Explorer AI Actions: Narrator scan mode may not work properly on the Summarize AI action canvas.
- Widgets: Pinning reverts you to the older widget experience until full support lands.
