During a Windows 7 Backup, I backed up a lot of unwanted folders and files. Can I remove these (manually) from the backup file or do I need to delete the backup and run it again without the unwanted folders included? (which I'd rather not do incase the backup fails for some reason)

Solution
To manage or remove files/folders from a Windows 7 backup without running the backup again, you can follow these steps: 1. Locate the Backup File: - The Windows 7 backup should be stored in a location specified during the backup process. 2. Mount the Backup Image: - You need to mount the backup image to extract or remove files from it. This requires third-party software or PowerShell commands. 3. Use Built-in Backup Software or Third-Party Solutions: - Windows Imaging Format (WIM) files can be managed through Microsoft's Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool. - You can remove files using the dism.exe command in an elevated Command Prompt. If you need more specific instructions or guidance on this...
