Windows Vista Windows 7 DVD Maker

I have used this program in the past and never had a problem until recently. It will not recognize my DVD burner now. I have reinstalled Windows 7 and have gotten all the updates but it still does not recognize the burner and I have tried all the tricks I know to make it work. Until then, I cannot make any DVDs for myself. How is this fixable???

I don't use that program but here are some solutions from other people that fixed this problem:

ONE:
1.Run DVD Maker
2.In the right bottom corner click on Options.
3. Select Compatibility.
4.Uncheck all the filters other than AVI Decompressor (Win 7 original in system32).
5. Press OK.

TWO:
windows dvd maker does not recognize the dvd drive in this computer

THREE: (If Windows itself doesn't recognize the burner)
Windows DVD Maker Won't Show the Burner | eHow.com

FOUR: (If Windows itself doesn't recognize the burner)
The CD drive or the DVD drive does not work as expected on a computer that is running Windows Vista

Let us know how it went.

Hi

A couple of questions.

Does the DVD drive show in My Computer and Windows Explorer?

Are you trying to burn a Video DVD or just burn files to the disk?

Yes it is recognized by Windows in My Computer and Windows Explorer. Yes I am making a video DVD. I have many video files on my computer which I want to transfer off and watch on my HDTV for which these files have been converted to show this way. The program is just not recognizing the DVD Burner. Otherwise, there are no problems.
