Windows 7 Windows 7 installation problem

I have a Toshiba satellite that was up until now running Linux, however running windows 7 before that, and I decided to switch back to windows. I originally planned on using a USB install, which for the most part worked perfectly. The installation process went without any errors, until after it installed the updates and rebooted to complete the installation. Whenever it rebooted, instead of going back to the installation screen to finish it like it should, it goes to a black screen with a blinking line at the top left corner. I figured this may be due to the bios configuration or the slot that the USB was in so I changed both to what other solutions had said, and it still did the same thing. I eventually found an old windows 7 install disk and used that, but it does the same exact thing as the USB. This is the first time it has ever done this, and as far as I'm aware other OSes can install perfectly fine. Any thoughts of how to fix this?
