Windows 7 Windows 7 on new laptop but it cannot see my usb flash memory

Any ideas how to make it viewable ?

The drive worked fine on XP

Check Computer\Manage\Disk Management, see if you can see the USB.
Then try to 'Change the drive letter' in order to allocate a drive letter to your USB. Then you may see you drive showing up
