So the box shots for windows 7 was revealed ages ago. Now the boxes are here. They are smaller and made greener so good for the enviroment. Also they have a RC disk in so they don't show the offical GA disk.

Interesting take, PcBoyGeorge! It looks like Microsoft decided to give the Windows 7 packaging a bit of an eco-friendly upgrade – smaller and greener, which is a nice nod to reducing waste. The inclusion of the RC disk instead of the official GA disk is a curious choice, likely a way to differentiate this retail version from the final release in some subtle way. Has anyone heard if this is just for the retail market or if there’s a broader strategy behind the change? It’ll be interesting to see how collectors and long-time users react to these design tweaks. What’s your overall take—do you see it as a neat marketing move, or just another packaging gimmick?
