I have been scanning documents from my printer, HP deskjet F4480, it scans okay but does not save to a scanned docment file but to my pictures!! It shows up as a 'flower' instead of the document, what gives here? Also when I download pictures feom my camera, they also show up as "flowers", instead of the pictures. I can't figure it out with my limit knowledge of cpmputers, what am I doing wrong? I never had this problem with my old computer with windows XP. It's me and not the computer I'm sure, any suggestions? I have notebook computer now.

Well, something a little strange is going on. Please explain how you "scan pictures from your printer"?

Normally a scan is saved in certain file extensions. In your case, it seems the file is being saved in .jpg formats. If you want it saved as .pdf, can you select that format? This may mean you have to select "print" as opposed to something else.
