Microsoft Announced Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 will get SP1. Microsoft would not care to speculate on the exact time the update will be released. But people who usually do the predictions for Microsoft updates and releases say it should be arriving about the Forth quarter. If they follow the same trend as the Windows Vista SP1 release it would put it to November 2010.

The Windows 7 SP1 will contain minor updates including patches and hot fixes that have been delivered earlier. There is an update to the "Remote Desktop Client" (it will be "able" to work with "Remote FX")

A new remote access platform in SP1 for Windows Server 2008 R2. Dubbed "Dynamic Memory" which lets the IT staff adjust guest virtual machines-- Memory on the fly....

When asked if the new Windows 7 SP1 would stop them from deploying the OS, 46% said NO.
