Windows Vista Windows defender stops clibration loader from starting

A recent update to Windows Defender (KB915597 Def.1.33.9770.6) is preventing my Calibration Loader from starting up when I start windows. As a result I have to restore to previous restore point every time I start my computer. Any ideas?

Have you tried disabling Windows Defender??????
Go to search at start up, type msconfig, click on services, scroll down to Windows Defender, uncheck box, click apply. This will stop Windows Defender starting up although you will get a error reminder.
