It seems like you are encountering a common issue where Windows Explorer crashes when you right-click on specific items. This problem can be frustrating, but there are a few potential solutions you can try to resolve it. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

  2. Check for Malware: Run a full system scan using your antivirus software to check for any malware that could be causing the issue.
  3. Check Context Menu Items: The issue could be caused by a specific context menu item. You can try disabling third-party context menu items to see if that resolves the problem.
  4. Update Drivers: Outdated or corrupted device drivers can also cause Explorer to crash. Update your graphics card and other hardware drivers to the latest versions.
  5. Check Event Viewer: You can check the Windows Event Viewer for error logs related to the Explorer crash. This may provide more insight into the root cause of the problem.
  6. Perform System File Checker (SFC) Scan: Run an SFC scan to check for and repair corrupted system files that could be contributing to the issue.
  7. Create a New User Account: Create a new user account to see if the problem persists. This can help determine if the issue is account-specific.
  8. Disable Context Menu Extensions: Use tools like ShellExView to disable third-party context menu extensions that might be causing conflicts.

Steps for Performing a System File Checker (SFC) Scan:

  9. Click on the Start button and type cmd in the search box.
  10. Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
  11. In the Command Prompt window, type the command sfc /scannow and press Enter.
  12. Wait for the scan to complete. If any issues are found, the tool will attempt to repair them. Try these steps to see if they resolve the issue with Windows Explorer crashing when you right-click. Let me know if you need further assistance!
