Windows 7 Windows Hangs on Game folder in start menu

Hi, so this was working fine until a few days ago. I don't remember installing anything except for a bunch of gadgets. So when i goto the games folder in the start menu it starts hanging and all the icons for the games do not show up. I can windows+d it and get to my desktop which also closes the startmenu but I have no clue why this is happening.

Any ideas?

try uninstalling the gadgets one by one and see if that seems to be the problem! If so then please report back with which gadget was the issue and if not then please report back and we can think of something else.

i haven't installed anything and i have the same problem. it takes awhile for the icons to load and then hangs when i put my cursor over the game i want to select, any of them.
