I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate - 64 the other day with no problems. I did a fresh install. My old wireless G adapter isn't compatible with Windows Vista or WIndows 7 so last night I got a Linksys WRT400N wireless router and a WUSB600N adapter for my desktop. I set the router up and got all of my other computers in the house connected to it with no problems. I downloaded the Windows 7 drivers for the WUSB600N and saved them on a flash drive. I went ahead and installed the WUSB600N with the drivers and it showed up in Device Manager with no problems. When I open the Network and Sharing Center, no wireless networks are shown. When I click on Change Adapter Settings, only my ethernet port comes up, not the wireless adapter. Neither Linksys or Windows support were of any help. I have seen online that other people have this particular adapter working in Windows 7 but I can't get it to work for the life of me. If anyone can help me out I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Enable Wireless Adapter: - Sometimes, wireless adapters can be disabled by default. Check if the wireless adapter is enabled in Device Manager: - Right-click on the adapter and select "Enable" if it is currently disabled. 4. Check Network Services: - Make sure that the necessary services are running: - Press Win + R, type "services.msc" and press Enter. - Check that services like WLAN AutoConfig are running and set to Automatic. 5. Network Adapter Settings: - Ensure that the wireless network adapter is not hidden in Network Connections: - Press Win + R, type "ncpa.cpl" and press Enter. - Check if the wireless adapter is listed. If not, click on File > Add Legacy Hardware to add it. 6. Power Management: - Disable any power-saving settings for the wireless adapter that may cause it to turn off to save power: - In Device Manager, right-click on the wireless adapter > Properties > Power Management tab, and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." 7. Reboot and Test: - After making these changes, reboot your system and check if the wireless networks are now visible in the Network and Sharing Center. If the issue persists after following these steps, there might be a compatibility or configuration issue specific to your setup. Let's go through these steps first and see if it resolves the problem.
