Windows 7 Windows Media Player in Windows 7 quirks!

I noticed an annoying quirk in the WMP that came with Windows 7. It does not recognize or store all of my music files, including the CD files that I ripped. When I revert back to my Windows Vista partition, ALL of the music files are there and intact! What the blank is going on?

NExt, in Vista's WMP, there is a progress bar when you rip a CD -- very helpful in knowing it's working. In Windows 7's WMP, there is no such thing. You're kinda guessing and hoping it's doing the work! Then when you switch back to the library to see if the files are there, the CD that I ripped will have four different folders, 2 songs in one, three songs in the other, and four in the other folder. Plus they are classified as Unknown artist, unknown album. So I had to retype all of the song titles, artist, etc. In Vista, I never encountered this problem.

Does anyone have ideas? Does Microsoft know of this?
