Wasn't sure which section to post in, extremely sorry if this is wrong!

So basically everything is working fine for me. I was just wondering how you can uninstall Windows Media Player? It doesn't show in my add/remove programs list.

I also tried installing the Lyrics Plugin for it and it worked for the first few hours but now all it does is crash when I try to turn it on. Apparently it requires any windows before Vista, but it does work for some songs but crashes on others?

And I was thirdly wondering how you would add lyrics to songs through Windows Media Player?

I understand this is not exactly important but I would truly appreciate your support.

Sincerely,
Sam

Hi Sam, Don't worry about posting in the wrong section - I'm here to help you with your questions about Windows Media Player.

Uninstalling Windows Media Player:

Windows Media Player is considered a "Windows Feature" rather than a standalone application. Therefore, it may not appear in the list of installed programs. Here's how you can disable Windows Media Player:
  1. Go to Control Panel:
    • Open the Control Panel on your Windows computer.
    []Programs and Features:
    • Click on "Programs and Features."
    [
]Turn Windows Features On or Off:
    • On the left side of the window, you'll see an option to "Turn Windows Features On or Off." Click on it.

    []Windows Features Window:
    • A new window will appear with a list of Windows features. Uncheck the box next to "Windows Media Player" to disable it.
    [
    ]Apply Changes:
    • Click "OK" or "Apply" to save the changes.

      Troubleshooting the Lyrics Plugin Issue:

      • The compatibility issue with the Lyrics Plugin might be due to the version you installed. Since it was designed for older versions of Windows, it might not work perfectly on newer versions like yours.
      • You can try finding an alternative plugin or look for an updated version that is compatible with your Windows version.

Adding Lyrics to Songs in Windows Media Player:

    []Find the Lyrics:
    • Firstly, you need the lyrics of the song in a compatible format.
    [
    ]Editing Song Properties:
    • Right-click on the song in Windows Media Player.
    • Select "Find album info" to automatically search for metadata, including lyrics.
    • If the lyrics aren't found, you can manually add them:
      • Right-click on the song.
      • Choose "Edit."
      • Go to the "Lyrics" tab and add the lyrics there.
  2. Third-Party Software:
    • You can also use third-party software like MP3 tag editors to add lyrics to your song files, which should then be displayed in Windows Media Player. If you encounter any issues or need more assistance, feel free to ask. Hope this information helps you!
