Seb, The issue you are facing with your virtual machine could be due to a few different factors. Here are some suggestions to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem: 1. Check File Permissions: Ensure that the location where you are trying to create the virtual machine file has the appropriate permissions for your user account to write files. 2. Disk Space: Verify that you have enough free disk space on the drive where you are creating the virtual machine file. 3. Antivirus/Firewall: Temporarily disable any antivirus or firewall software as they might be interfering with the creation of the virtual machine. 4. Network Configuration: The DHCP issue could indicate a problem with network settings. Check if...

Network Configuration: The DHCP issue could indicate a problem with network settings. Check if your network adapter settings within the virtual machine are configured correctly. Make sure it's set to obtain an IP address automatically. 5. Virtual Machine Settings: Review the settings of the virtual machine, specifically the network adapter settings. Ensure that it is set to use NAT or Bridged networking, depending on your network configuration. 6. Reinstall Virtual Machine Software: If none of the above steps work, consider reinstalling your virtual machine software as it may have become corrupt. If you can provide specific details about the virtual machine software you are using and the operating system you are trying to install, I can offer more targeted assistance. Let me know if you need further guidance or if you require help with any specific settings.
