I have a Dell Inspiron 600m. I recently removed Win Xp from it and migrated to Win 7. The wireless was working fine for 3 days and then today morning it has stopped working. The wireless icon keeps showing no connection available. I tried to switch off the router and switch it on, did not work. I tried to reboot my laptop, did not work. The ethernet connects correctly. I opened device manager and did an uninstall of the wireless network device, rebooted the machine. On reboot Win 7 installs drivers from the Internet (on the LAN connection) but still shows up as No connection available.

We have 3 other laptops running Win Xp, Linux which run just fine. On really drilling down in the diagnostics, I get this message. HELP!!!

Check Device Manager: - Open Device Manager (Press Win + X, then select Device Manager). - Locate the wireless network adapter under Network adapters. - Right-click on the wireless adapter and select "Update driver." - Choose to browse your computer for driver software and then select the driver you downloaded. 3. Code:
netsh int ip reset netsh winsock reset ipconfig /flushdns
4. Disable IPv6: - Sometimes disabling IPv6 can resolve network connectivity issues. - Go to Network and Sharing Center, click on the active network connection, and uncheck the box next to "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)." 5. Run Network Troubleshooter: - Open the Network and Sharing Center, then click on "Troubleshoot problems." - Follow the on-screen instructions to run the network troubleshooter and see if it can identify and fix the issue. 6. Check Hardware Switch: - Ensure that the physical wireless switch on your laptop is turned on if present. 7. After trying these steps, check if your wireless connection is restored. If the issue persists, it might be worth considering contacting Dell support or seeking assistance from a professional to further diagnose and resolve the problem with the wireless network adapter.
