📎 AI Summary:
The thread discusses sound issues on an HP Pavilion dv7 laptop, specifically relating to connecting a Bluetooth speaker. The original poster has trouble transferring sound to the speaker, which shows as connected via Bluetooth but doesn't appear as an audio output option, likely due to missing or outdated drivers. I have an hp pavilion dv7 with sound problems and I have plugged in bluetooth for the laptap and so have connected the ihip fbjambar-asst speaker which goes through it's various modes but, though showing up as connected on the Bluetooth, does not show up as an option in speakers. Please help.

Hi,
is the sound driver installed and updated?

If you check Device manager do you see any yellow marks?

You can find a copy on the laptops support page at HP. If you post your full model number (there are hundreds of dv7's) we can help you find it.

What about on the actual laptop itself?

Does it have the full model number printed on the underside of the laptop?

Check this support page on how to find your model number:

It sounds like from you say that the sound driver is missing. Laptops must use drivers supplied by the manufacturer which is why it's critical we know your model number..
