Windows 7 Cut-off Startup Sound, Need Help!

Hi there,
When i turn on my computer it will boot up fine then it gets to the page of the users login (the blue screen with the user profiles) it plays the startup sound but the sound that plays is cutoff so it will only play the last second of the tune. Is there any way that i can fix this please anyone who can help is greatly appreciated.

Under Control Panel--->Personalization make sure sound is set to Windows Default (or what ever you had it set to) See if that clears it up. Post back and let us know.

Hey techmonkey thanks for you reply but i just tried that and im still getting the cut off startup sound

In the CP sound panel mentioned, what do you hear if you try the startup in the "Test" facility?
