i have windows 7. For my start menu bar properties. Under taskbar appearance, taskbar buttons, i have three options: 1) always combine, hide labels. 2) Combine when taskbar is full. 3) Never combine.
However, these isn't as option for "Never combine, hide labels." Any idea how i can get that?

Thanks!

Hi MFNL,

Set your Taskbar to "Never Combine". Save the following code as a reg file and run it. Re-start PC.
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics]
"MinWidth"="56"
If you see the start of the label, drop the 56 to 54.

This is for the large icons view. If you are using the small icons view change the 56 to 40.

I have the same 3 options as you. Why do you think there should be a fourth?

Glad to have helped! If you feel the need to revert to the standard view of Never Combine, you just need to delete the registry key you've added.
