I recently did the free upgrade to Windows 10 but decided to go back to Windows 7. Microsoft lets you opt to go back to the previous OS for 30 days so this was not an issue.

I reverted back to Windows 7 but now at the Windows login screen my keyboard and mouse are frozen as I can't move the mouse and typing on the keyboard doesn't do anything.
I can hit F8 when booting and it loads the boot menu so I have confidence both the keyboard and mouse are working.
Any help is appreciated!!

If you have some install media you could try a repair. You'll need to boot from the install disk but at the install page click Repair'.

Or try to booting in safe mode (by pressing F10 during start up)

Or try disconnecting both the keyboard and mouse and reconnecting at a different USB, it may reload the correct drivers
