Windows 7 White bar on Taskbar

Sort of looks like the address bar without the label.
Try right click empty area of taskbar and from the context menu look at "Toolbars", is anything checked?

Yes, "Power DVD" was, unchecking it fixed it. Thanks, I'm new to Windows 7 and I'm over thinking how complicated fixing problems is

The taskbar on my win7 prof 64 bit is all white and the start orb changed to a rectangle with a black letters (start) on white background.

there are icons but they are black and white also.
what happened?
