About all I could bring up is the definition of the error. Since I do not know what PIX is, can you shut it down, or something which is accessing it?

ERROR_SHARING_VIOLATION
32 (0x20)
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

Since I still do not know what it is, hard to recommend. But you might try the update in safe mode. Otherwise try shutting down what might be accessing the file.

You can't run windows update in safe mode. And I did a clean boot still no help. Can it be due to a trojan or virus
