So a friend of mine gave his ex girlfriends computer to me. The problem is its password protected. And he doesn't know the password. I have no other computer to get any programs to help the situation. I tried entering safe mode to bypass it and can't seem to figure it out. Any suggestions?

I set up a bunch of web site favorites in IE10 or bookmarks in Firefox 33.0 and was able to connect to them. All of a sudden they are timing out trying to get to them. Some web sites are OK. Any idea what may be causing this? I was able to access them before but for the last couple of days...

I recently tried to install open suse with a dual boot. But it failed and I can no longer access windows. I would like to know if installing an OEM copy of windows 8 will help.
