I'm a casual user of the internet and enjoy working with Beta's and I'm tempted to install W7 and get rid of my Vista Home Premium and stick with 7 until the release.....is this an OK move or will I regret it? I'm assuming I could roll back and reinstall Vista and of course I would back up my...
So I got into Windows Media Center last night and struck gold.
I found a really cool concert video by Alanis Morissette. It went on for about an hour and a half.
I'm still learning how to use WMC, so it's acting quite clunky for me. But it does have some interesting content.
I'm curious...

Hi, I had some problems first of all with getting printer driver to install, unplugged the USB Cable, reformatted the hard drive about 3 times still to no avail, until the last time and problem solver directed me to HP for the correct driver, it seems that I was trying to install a photsmart...
Hi guys
I'm now reasonably satisfied with build 7022 but unless I can get gold of RC1 I really doesn't see much point doimg any more testing -- .
Updates are still being issued for VISTA so I'll keep that up to date for eventual transfer update.
However if we don't get any updates for...

well this is for anyone that doese not know about this. if you are using windows 7 there are already anti viruses from the bigger companies made specificlly for windows 7 and they end when the beta is over. so they are free for you to use fully and legally.

Thank you for the chance to test 7! I had never even seen Vista prior to this, let alone work with anything like it.
Due to operator error, I tried to reload Windows Me (don't ask) on a separate drive, but had left the 7 beta drive plugged in. The Me install created some funky partition on the...

I am not sure where to post this but will try here. As an XP user who is now trying the Win 7 Beta, I have found most things work well and software installation and configuration has worked for most applications. I set up Win 7 as a clean install on a second hard drive, thus creating a dual...
Hi guys
I agree absolutely that in general a Clean install is usually a better approach however in the case of a Beta that might not always be a good idea.
In the case of Windows XP ===> W7 X-32 there are some drivers that Vista hasn't got yet - even though though in some cases the XP version...
Please dont harass microsoft to rush windows 7. this is what happened with vista.. people got all weak at the knees and whinged for it. SO ms releases it..full of bugs.. and its STILL being fixed 3 years later. I say we hold it out. WAIT for win7. And keep trying the beta. and give FEEDBACK to...
Hey, i have not been able to find this so. I have Windows XP home on my computer and was planing on being apart of the Windows 7 beta testers. I am kinda tech savey (Enough to put 7 beta on my pc and install everything) but i also want to go back to XP when the beta closes.

Please accept my apology ahead of time for any breach of protocol I may unknowingly commit. I'm a newby to the forum and didn't want to wait any longer than necessary before posting this thread for help with a problem I've just encountered.

Whilst I'm very positive so far with W7 apart from some networking issues on the X-64 version there are a few things that to me seem a total waste of time -- each to their own but it would be interesting to see what irritates / frustrates users most with W7.
1) The Diagnose Network connection...
