Microsoft.
I have enjoyed using the Windows 7 RC.
I was emailed an offer to upgrade to Windows 7.
The email says the discount price because I have been testing the release candidate, is $99 for Pro.
When I click on the link the price says $199.
What is up with the bait and switch tactic...
The update will include several new features that take advantage of features in Windows 7:
Full Image-based Backups of Windows 7 PCs. After the Windows Home Server Connector is installed on your Windows 7 PCs, Action Center should no longer display that your files are not being backed up...

With bulid 7260 (RTM escrow) MS started the RTM builds, and it's only few day before the final RTM build is compiled (if not already, 7262?).
So why MS will wait 4 months (Third a year) for the General availability!, I mean they will miss Back-to-school season that way!
Side note: why MS still...
Hi,
I have been testing out the beta since the release date. Recently i formatted my computer and decided to download the latest RC and test that to see what sort of differences have been made. When i initially installed the beta i just did a upgrade from my Vista and everything worked like a...
Mozilla produced its first candidates of Firefox 3.5 RC1 and it was just a matter of time before the fully fledged Release Candidate would follow. But the RC was actually just around the corner. Fact is that users are now able to download Firefox 3.5 Release Candidate 1. According to Mozilla...
Hi All, I just hope I'm doing this properly. I have installed Windows 7, latest version. All works very well and better than I expected from a pre lauch beta. I have one problem that I would like to ask about. I have a RS232 / USB converter with a Prolific chip set. Does anyone know of a Drivern...
Okay I'm going to try to sum this up my best before I go to bed. I put a 32 bit Windows 7 RC on a CD, Try to install several times, It always freezes completly at either the inital background after I pick my language, I move the hard drive over to another machine and install windows 7 from...
Hi,
It's my understanding that starting March 11th, those who are running W7 RC1 will experience an auto shutdown every 2 hours. Then, in June, the RC1 will lock you out of your system. Even if you buy the retail copy of W7 before June, there is no way to do an in place upgrade, rather, you...

Acer let some info out that they probably weren't supposed to. Not sure how credible the info is, but with the way the beta has been going it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see Win 7 ready to go by this date.
