Hi
I've got OEM version of W7 Pro 64 bit. I've had it about 2 months and everything is working fine except IE8 64 bit. I normally use Firefox so haven't been to concerned.
I'm now trying to figure out why my IE8 64 bit dosn't work. The IE8 32 bit works fine.
The error I get when I start IE8...
I want to remove (not hide) favorites so they don't come back. I have googled all morning trying to find a solution (besides spending a day in IE8 removing favorites one by one). I have found a couple references to editing the registry to make the name of the favorites links folder invisible...
I dislike Internet Explorer browser. It is so slow and backwards in the world of software compared to browsers like Flock and Google Chrome which are far more advanced and better than IE. which a lot of people including my self dislike it enough to want it gone from their computer completely...

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium with IE8. I accidently unchecked the box that says "always ask before opening this type of file" box, and I want it back. Now when I download a .zip file it throws it into a Temporary Internet Files folder, that when I look for it, the folder doesn't even...
IE8 is not remembering what I type in search bar.
Also nothing is being remembered that I type into web pages ie user names etc.
I hate to mention XP again but I could fix it there, can't find a way round it with 7 though.
Thanks.
Hi
I have a new medion akoya pc (off ebay) running windows 7 32bit. After loading a couple of pages in IE 8 I will get a bsod. Firefox seems to manage for about 10 minutes before quitting.
After a BSOD it will have another dump soon after restart without starting IE8 - after that it seems ok...

I got a password protected web dir - while I can login to this dir with FF3 no problem IE8 is looping in the login window sorta pretending an invalid login. Are there IE restrictions to what char can be used in a password?
Notably there is a "=" character part of the password - that a problem...
Hi All
Somehow, I have messed up win 7 internet settings ? Now, Google Chrome and Windows Media Center won't connect to net. But, IE8 and FF3.6 still connects fine.
Is there some tweak to reset the settings to default ?
thanks !
I've been playing with the Win 7 firewall, specifically the *OutBound* rules.
I made a rule for IE8 and can toggle it on or off to respectively block or allow IE8 to the
internet. My question is, is there some setting where it will notify my (by popup) when
IE8 (or any application) wants to...
I bought a laptop with window 7 Home and IE 8 installed. I have a game that need IE 8 or above to work. For some reason it says when starting the game that IE 5 is on. Is there anyway to uninstall IE 8 and try again.
Hi there
Ever since I installed VirtualBox on my windows 7, I have been having some connectivity issues with my internet. Like I said on the title, my internet is taking forever to connect. I have even tried leaving it for half an hour and it would still be "connecting" when I return. However...
I got a message that there are updates available (Win 7 Pro). However the update does not start downloading. It seems it doesn't find the site, even though I can go to any other site with no problem. Tried IE8 and Firefox, same problem.
Hope someone can help! Have just got new machine running windows 7 and IE8 with google toolbar.
On several websites I can't seem to get links to work. Examples include not being able to open a bus timetable on stageoach site, not opening booking details on easyjet, and not being able to go to...

I cannot send email from any program other than when I am in Outlook 2003. That works fine. When I try to sent a link or page from IE 8 nothing happens. When I try to send anything from either Office 2007 (trial) or office 2003 I get the cannot start email program check your network...
There was an Windoz update recently, now I cannot use my mouse in IE8.
The mouse is perfectly functional in all other programs.
It is wireless. A wired USB mouse works the same so it is not a driver issue.
If I point to and click on a link it will either go to a different page, or not do...
