Hi,
Generally, the new taskbar system is very nice. However, if I have two applications open (say, firefox and adobe reader) and multiple windows open in each application, switching is not very efficient.
If I'm in adobe reader and there is only one firefox window open and I click the firefox...
Hello, I hope you are doing well.
By default, when I use ALT+TAB to go between windows, if I pause on another icon for about a second, the other window becomes the active one (so that I can preview what's on that window). Is there a way to disable this?
Thanks,
Vic
Since I want the sidebar to appear and stay at front when accessed, I installed Windows Vista's sidebar onto Windows 7. However, when I press Win+Space (used to bring-to-front Vista's sidebar in Vista, or to temporarily show the sidebar in 7), the Vista's sidebar is not toggled. Rather, it just...
Is there a way to make it so when I click on the Shutdown button I get the Dialog box like the old classic menu used to do? I have accidently hit that stupid shutdown button to many times (which is actually a lock button now instead of shutdown). I know alt+f4 will bring up the box, but I'm so...
In WinXP, the Start Menu's focus was on the menu itself. If you hit 'P' it would open the "Programs" folder.
In Vista & Win7, the Start Menu's focus is in the Search feature. To get into the Programs folder you must hit 'Up', 'Enter', then 'Up'.
Is there a way to have the focus of the Start...

mabey I'm a few operating systems late, but I think I found an easier way to Resize Icons by Selecting the items, icons or folders, holding the Crtl key and using the mouseWheel to Resize them. It also works on the desktop. It comes in handy with a bigger monitors. I don't know if this a new...
Is there a way to hide the taskbar so it will not pop up when you mouse over it without actually disabling the start menu? (accessing the start menu via the keyboard windows key rather than clicking.)
I have found a few things via google about hacking the registry to disable the start menu...

After I installed Windows 7, pressing the Windows Key + P gives me some kind of message box for linking to a projector.
I don't use anything like that, but I DO use that key combo.
I there a way to change the key assignments that are set at install?

Hey folks! First off, so glad to see a support forum for windows 7!
I'm installed and working fine but I'm having an issue with my dual monitor setup. I have a pair of Samsung 22" LCD's. When I first installed, both worked but the second monitor would show only the wallpaper. I was unable to...
