Back in May of this year, I posed the following question in this thread...

Well, I'm loving the stability and amzing performance increases I've had the pleasure of enjoying .. especially in games and media center. Heck even mundane tasks .. not to mention all the other great features in Windows 7! So basically I have a fairly simple question .. but for some reason it...

I've heard Windows Windows & Peremium and Ultimate will both come with 2 discs, one for 32 bit and 64 bit, so does this mean if I have both a 64 bit and 32 machine, I only have to buy one copy?
So i have tried numerous steps but my vista is buggered. I can't use defragment.
It starts but then never finishes. It will change my hard drive space lots. Like first its 48gb. Then a hour later its 52gb then half a hour its 51gb.
I even tried Tune-Up Utilities 2009. That will take for...

I upgraded one of my Vista Home Premium computers to Windows 7 Release Candidate.
When the retail version of Windows 7 is released will I still be able to just purchase the upgrade version or will I have to purchase the full version?
Just wondering as my Vista has been over written now on this...
There appears to be numerous errors on my copy of Windows Vista Home Premium over the months, especially in the registry where it caused installation errors for iTunes.
I don't have recovery discs to repair Windows or reinstall from.
If I were to buy a copy from the stores to patch up the...
"In tough economic times, I think it's naive to believe that you can increase your prices on average and then still see a strong swell than if you held prices flat or even lowered them. I can tell you that the licensing tiers at retail are more expensive than they were for Vista." Link Removed...

Anyone agree? :)
I have upgraded my Vista to Windows 7 RC but can no longer use the Remote Desktop Connection in Accessories to connect to the Desktop of a server running Windows 2008. The message is that there is no license available for the client. This was working under Vista.
I downloaded the build 7106 *.ISO file and burned it to a DVD. Yet before installing it, I must know where do I get a product key for it. Do I use the same one I got from Microsoft in January for build 7100 ? I mean I don't want to get stuck half-way thru' installing and then find I can't...
is there any news on the upgrade programs? i'm running windows xp and was hoping for a discount. also, my dad is running vista and can't stand it, so it looks like he'll be wanting to upgrade, too. is there any possibility of being able to use one copy across the board? operating systems are...
Hi everybody
Just pushing this out to speculation - but with the advent of Windows Live and the "Always On" Internet connections do people think that the days of installing a Stand alone OS on a Client computer (i.e yours) will soon be over.
The New OS'es will be Internet based -- all the...

Hi, I recently installed Matlab on windows 7. There were no problems during the installation process. When I tried to run the application however, it freezes at the opening screen (with the Matlab logo and the license information). After a while, I get the message that the application is no...

Wow, that's about 2 versions too many. We could do without the starter and home basic, you know those aren't really Windows 7 (Hell, they're barely even Windows.)
