Why is it that everytime I connect my telstra wireless internet (through a usb dongle) I get a msg pop up asking me to set the network location. (home or public)
And everytime this happens it makes it a new number eg. telstra internet 1, next time will be telstra internet 2 and so on...
Hey. When Windows Explorer is pinned to the taskbar, clicking it opens by default the Libraries window. I never use these, and was wondering how I could change the default location to the Computer window. I know I can just pin Computer to it, but why not cut out a step? :P

I'.m trying to recover the registry hive from a drive that crashed and load them into a program that you can edit the registry.
Problem is, I forgot the location of these files.
System.alt sounds familiar, but can't locate it.

I deleted the Desktop folder located in the personal folder, now whenever i try to put something on the desktop or oper an folder i get a message saying "C:\Users\JHolliday\Desktop refers to a location that is unavailable".
Is there any way to remake\restore the folder?
when trying to save files, any files from firefox or any internet application to my desktop i receive the error:
"You don't have permission to modify files in this network location
please contact your system administrator"

I get that message occasionally when I start Windows 7. But when I go to Services, it listed it as started. so i right click on it and click restart, it restarts some home group services also. Is there anyway to fix this? The problem is occuring on my Acer Aspire One
Hi,
I have a wide screen laptop so I usually dock my task bar on the right hand sidde o the screen. When I reboot windows 7 the task bar reverts to it's default location at the bottom of the screen. Am I doing something wrong or is this just one of the Beta things?
