Hi
I was wondering whether anyone could tell me why this happens?
I have a 1080i HD TV set, with a resolution of 1920 by 1080, and a 27" monitor with the same resolution.
I do see that inspite of the fact that both are the same pixel dimensions they are not the same aspect ratio.
I'm aware...
Why does a computer monitor, or a TV screen is measured diagonally ?
If we say, "measure the length of this table", or "measure the width of the window", we don't measure diagonally. Right ?
So, why monitor or TV screen measured that way?
I'm trying to find a means to install this hard drive monitor, which I got free from O&O quite some time ago. I can't now remember whether it was installed with a license key or not, but if so I guess that I didn't copy it to my archive.
I tried to copy/paste the directory from the old...
When using 2 monitors, you can flick windows between the screens, etc. I have a 24" widescreen monitor. It is really too wide to do anything (except watch video) with an app maximized. My question is, are there an ways to make it act like 2 monitors? Or at least to help manage apps s o they...
My max resolution for my monitor is 1920x1080. But when I go into the screen res option, it shows res's more than that. When I go over 1920x1080, my monitor says that it is not supported. That is beside the fact. The point is when I launch a game, it automatically sets the game to the max res my...

I wasn't sure where else to post this, so I'd thought I'd post it here, since I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the hardware, most likely the MOBO or something.
I recently upgraded my Roommate's computer, we had a few issues already, apparently it was BIOs issues, since it was...
Sometimes I really hate rebooting, because it seems that something always goes wrong. The last reboot was no different, because my #2 monitor now has a black screen with the message which says "Cannot Display This Video Mode".
I remember dealing with something like this long ago, and it had...

I am currently running one 1920x1080 monitor. If I wanted to upgrade for gaming to get a better field of view, should I go to a surround (3 monitor) system with the 1920 resolution, or one 2560x1440 monitor?
My primary concern is peripheral view, but quality is also important.
I am trying not...
Hello, I've been getting some pretty consistent BSOD's of late, usually through interaction with my laptop monitor. Closing the lid, disabling the monitor's driver and occasionally when leaving it to timeout/standby.
Any help will be appreciated!

The original Super Mario was comprised of tiny little squares called pixels. His appearance in the original Donkey Kong probably used even fewer pixels. For example, Mario's thumb on his right hand is one...
